I have been an avid reader for many years. In the 6th grade is when I truly got hooked on books. I would read a book a day over the summers and when something was really interesting, I wouldn’t sleep until I was done reading it. As the years progressed (and there have been MANY years!), I read anything and everything. I began freelancing when I became pregnant with my son. I met a wonderful circle of people, and met some very close friends.
I had the pleasure of reading “Game On” while it was in progress. I know the author pretty well, but that has not swayed my decision on the book. You see, I refuse to read “50 Shades of Grey.” The whole idea of “wife porn” doesn’t really get me stoked about the books. Total fail!
And now, let’s talk about the book!!!
This is very exciting for me to be telling you about. I am a hopeless romantic and I love a little bit of suspicion in my books. “Game On” has both of that and much, much more! The main character, Leah, is a feisty one! She has a mouth on her! Her smart mouth reminds me of myself, just a British version! I also adore Radleigh. I don’t know what it is about him, but I just an’t get enough. Cocky guys are a huge turn on for me, and BONUS- he is a soccer player. Well, they call it football in England, so Leah calls it football. The supporting characters are delightful as well. They each add something very important to the story, but aren’t too overbearing like some other books I have read.
This is a definite MUST READ! You can purchase the Kindle edition or a regular book (who knew they still made books!) by clicking here.
Please feel free to leave your feedback here about the book as well! I look forward to your thoughts!!
Tonight is the finale night of “The Bachelor.” Ben will choose between either Courtney or Lindzi, and I am praying it is the latter. If I am honest, there is chemistry with both ladies, but Courtney more so. It is disappointing because she was such a raving bitch throughout the entire season. We watched as she was awful to the other ladies and overstepped her boundaries with Ben on more than one occasion. How unclassy is it to go skinny dipping with a guy that is still dating other women, and do it on television nonetheless. She gives women a bad name. The word slut comes to mind, but I won’t say it.
Anyhow, besides the Courtney drama there were some other crazy moments from the season. The whole Blakeley/Monica make out moment on the premiere was one of them. It was never mentioned except for the first night, so apparently neither one of them were really into each other. There were also the abrupt departures like Brittney that we took notice too. She left for the right reasons and she deserves kudos for not wasting anyone’s time.
These are a look back at some of the other episodes and moments from Ben’s season as “The Bachelor.”
As you probably already know, I am a “General Hospital” junkie! I am usually pretty good at predicting what will be happening next with the story lines, but this Connie/Kate one had me blindsided. If you watched the show that aired on March 6th, 2012, you will understand what I mean. It looks like the writers are giving Connie/Kate D.I.D or split personalities. Of course this would make sense because “General Hospital” gained the writer from “One Life to Live” and there was a whole lot of split personalities on that soap.
There has been something “off” for a while now with Kate. I thought maybe she had become pregnant by Sonny and was coping with giving the baby away. This still may be an equation in the bigger picture. We know that Connie wants nothing to do with Sonny and will do whatever it takes (including using Johnny Zacchara) to break up Kate and Sonny’s relationship. It seem that even after all the running she did from being Connie, Kate still can’t escape her life. They are setting up Kate to take the fall for shooting out Anthony Zacchara’s tires, and it looks like she really may have done it. Sonny swears he didn’t do it, and this time it is believable. It will be interesting to see how this goes, and what will happen when Kate’s illness is exposed.
Are you liking this story line? Did you see it coming?
