Who Got Sent Home On ‘Dancing With the Stars’? —March 27th, 2012

The first elimination from Season 14 of “Dancing with the Stars” has come and gone.  Who got to take the walk of shame and who will be safe to dance another week?

This season the competition is fierce. They are all at least halfway decent to watch.

Sugarland performed tonight, even after much controversy they have had in the media since the stage collapse in Indiana.

The couples i n danger were:

Chelsea and Roshon

Martina and Tony

Karina and Gavin

After all was said and done, Martina and Tony were voted off. Of course this is no surprise, Martina was not very well-known.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ Starts Monday, March 19th

Nearly three weeks ago, the cast of Season 14 of “Dancing with the Stars” was announced. The celebrities are less than impressive this season, and I am predicting the ratings will drop. I have no real reason to watch it because I no longer freelance for Yahoo Tv. I may tune into the premiere because I am used to watching ABC on Mondays, but that may be it.

There doesn’t seem to be one person that stands out as the take-it-all, but people are betting on Melissa Gilbert or that Packers guy, whatshisname?

Anyways, I wanted to get something out on this blog before the weekend. I am suffering from a god-awful chest cold. My boyfriend and son both have it too, but I am pregnant, so it is worse for me! So, unless I really feel better between today and Monday, don’t expect anything new.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ Cast Announced Today

After a waiting a few months for the announcement of the next set of celebrity dancers, this morning they were finally announced. I must admit, I am less than pleased with the outcome. There are very few “known” celebrities and many semi-known or completely unknown. One dancer I am particularly excited to see is Steve Urkel. I mean, Jaleel White. I grew up in the 90s, don’t judge me! The other names I recognize are Sherri Shepherd and Maria Menounos. I do watch a lot of daytime television, so these two ladies are well-known to me.

I am disappointed that not many more of the rumors came true for the cast. I was slightly hoping that Kris Jenner would appear. I have a sick obsession with the Kardashians. I love to hate them, and I can’t get enough. I also enjoyed the political rumors surrounding the candidates that were asked to appear on the show. Come on people, Herman can’t stay faithful to ONE woman, how can he commit to ONE show? Pfft! Totally disgusting morals and sooo glad he dropped out of the race!

Paula Deen was rumored to be appearing on Season 14, but there was no truth to that at all. I would have rooted for her. I like the woman, without or without the diabetes announcement. So much uproar over something that is none of our business. Geezus people, grow the eff up and let the woman eat what she wants!!!

Here is a complete list of the new Season 14 cast

Gladys Knight + Tristan MacManus

Melissa Gilbert + Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Jack Wagner + Anna Trebunskaya

Gavin DeGraw + Karina Smirnoff

Donald Driver + Peta Murgatroyd

Roshon Fegan + Chelsie Hightower

Katherine Jenkins + Mark Ballas

William Levy + Cheryl Burke

Maria Menounos + Derek Hough

Martina Navratilova +  Tony Dovolani

Sherri Shepherd + Val Chmerkovskiy

Jaleel White +  Kym Johnson

Totally Tuesday

It is Tuesday and sadly, there is not really anything on that I watch tonight. “Dancing with the Stars” will be back shortly, and the results will air on Tuesday nights. Until then, I am just going to ramble on. I have given a lot of thought into the shows I watch religiously. Some of them aren’t even really that great anymore. I continue to watch out of habit mostly. Let’s take a look at which shows I think went to complete shit and lost my interest nearly entirely.

Ok, I am going to start with my utter anger with ABC. I have grown up watching the ABC soaps. My mother and grandmother had them on everyday. I have memories of the soaps as far back at the late 80s/early 90s. How the hell could they cancel my soaps? “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” were my favorites. “General Hospital” has always been an “okay” show, but it was always the one I could miss for a few days and not worry. My favorite character was Kendall Hart Slater. I have even used that name as a forum alias, and an in-game name. Some of my friends only call me “Kendall,” and I answer to both. It is all very involved and it has a long history in my life.  I was disappointed with the final results for “All My Children” and “One Life to Live.” For now I will continue to watch “GH” because I really like the new girl they have playing Maxie. Her name is Jen Lilley, and she is terrific. If you want to check her out, you can find her Twitter here.

Next on my fail list is “Two and a Half Men.” I am a huge Charlie Sheen fan. I love everything about him, including the fact that he is a piece of shit sometimes. Drug addiction is something I have battled with as well, and I can understand just how hard it really is to beat. Do I agree with his actions? Hell no. I think he was stupid to act like that and leave a show that was so damn good to him. Chuck Lorre did the best he could with hiring Kutcher, but he is not all that funny. In fact, I only thought the first two episodes were laugh-worthy. I have not watched much of the show this season, I have been focusing on writing more about the first seven seasons, and occasionally looking at the other stuff with the currently season. Just don’t like the whole Kutcher/Cryer thing. Lame.

So pissed off with NBC letting Christopher Meloni go! WHY?! Ugh. Last summer was awful for the fans of “Law and Order: SVU.” Fans were crushed with all the changes. How could the show go on without Benson AND Stabler? While Season 13 has had some decent moments, it is still not the same. Kelli Giddish is a decent actress, but I don’t buy her as a police detective. Danny Pino is a great addition, but they really didn’t need him.

I guess I am hard to please when it comes to my television shows. I love so many of them, and change really hinders me. I guess I will just stick to enjoying the few shows I love and tolerating the rest.

Happy Tuesday everyone! 🙂
