Last night on “American Idol” there were many great performances! Elise really stood out with her song choices! Of course the females are all drooling over Colton and Phillip (me included, but Phillip is more my type)! It looks like a girl might win the entire competition this year, with Jessica and Skylar being favorites. I am a little disappointed that the judges saved Jessica last week because she is still young and could definitely still get a contract on her own. Last night after the show aired, there were mixed emotions on who was going to be sent home. As I watched my Facebook feed it was clear that people were upset Jessica was saved and they love Colton. Diverse right? I am NOT a fan of LMFAO– AT ALL. I think they are crude and I definitely would not let my teen listen to their music. YUCK!
Here are the results from tonight–
WHAT people?! Colton??? Are you kidding me?!
Elise was sent back to the couch first– leaving Colton and Hollie there to fend for themselves.
Colton got sent home!!!
Unreal America. You failed him!!!!
Each week that is passing means we are closer to finding out who will win the title of “American Idol” 2012. There are some standout performers still in the game, but America seems to be voting based on appeal and looks.
Last night many of the performances were stellar, and a few fell short. It seems that America either REALLY likes you, or really doesn’t. Last week Elise caught a break, and it seems like she is getting back into the good graces of America.
Nikki Minaj performed. I think she is trashy and so not the type of artist that should be present on shows dubbed for families. Blergh.
The bottom three this week were:
Hee Jun (bout damn time America! FFS!)
Hee Jun was sent home. The judges did not save him and now the contestants are down to eight total.
Last night the remaining 10 finalists sang Billy Joel classics. P. Diddy and Jimmy Iovine were the mentors, and the contestants also got a little wardrobe help from a stylist. Tonight one more hopeful will head home, and that will bring nine others closer to their dream of being the next “American Idol.”
In my opinion, the only three that have a true shot at winning and succeeding are Colton, Phillip, and Hollie. Those three have styles they are set into already, and they know what to do to make a song their own. I personally am hoping for a Skylar or Phillip win, but I just can’t see America choosing another country artist so soon.
The bottom three tonight were—–
Erika was the one that America did NOT vote for this week, and she was given the chance to sing for her life. Unfortunately she was not saved.
This was the first “real” week of competition on “American Idol.” Last night the contestants sang songs from Stevie Wonder (the boys) and Whitney Houston (the girls). There were some pretty terrible performances, but there were also some stand out ones as well. Jessica Sanchez stole the night when she sang the classic “I Will Always Love You” and actually hit the notes. She received a standing ovation from all three judges, and she is the one critics have pegged as the winner this season.
Erika Van Pelt and Skylar Laine did really well also. The boys were not really anything to write home about, but Jermaine and Phillip were the two best in my opinion. Ultimately my opinion means nothing, especially since i didn’t even vote last night! (For shame!)
Now it is Thursday and time for one of the hopefuls to back their bags and head home. Which ones are in the bottom three for each group?
Girls: Elyse, Erika, and Shannon
Boys: Jermaine, Joshua, Jeremy
It came down to Jeremy and Elyse
The judges had to decided which one to send home, and they chose to send Jeremy home! Right on judges!!!
